Contributing to Sustainability: TPVs and Circular Economy

In the current scenario, sustainability has become a basic condition to operate in several sectors of the economy. Companies from different segments are looking for ways to adopt more sustainable practices, contributing to the protection of the environment and the promotion of the circular economy. In this context, TPVs (Thermoplastics) play a crucial role. In addition to their recyclable and durable properties, there is an even more important point: national manufacturing. In Brazil, FCC is a pioneer in the production of TPVs, contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint.

‍

- Recyclability and Durability of TPVs

TPVs are thermoplastic materials that can be recycled repeatedly, avoiding landfill disposal and reducing the need to use natural resources. In addition, these materials are known for their durability and strength, extending the life of products made with them. This durability reduces the demand for frequent replacements and, consequently, the consumption of additional resources.

‍

- Design for Disassembly and Circularity of Materials

An important aspect in the circular economy is the design of products to facilitate disassembly and separation of materials for recycling. By using TPVs, it is possible to create products with components that can be easily recovered and recycled separately, promoting the circularity of materials.

‍

- Waste Reduction and Resource Optimization

The use of TPVs contributes to the reduction of material waste during the manufacturing process. The mouldable properties of these thermoplastics allow for better material utilization, thus minimizing the waste of raw materials. By optimizing the use of resources, companies can save costs while reducing their environmental impact.

‍

- Domestic Manufacturing and Carbon Footprint Reduction

The reduction of carbon emissions along the production chain is a point much addressed in the search for more sustainable products. In this sense, FCC stands out as the only 100% national manufacturer of TPVs. Local production using clean energy from renewable sources not only reduces environmental impact, but also promotes economic development and job creation in the country.

‍

TPVs are versatile materials that play a key role in the transition to a more circular and sustainable economy. Their recyclability, durability, ability to reduce waste and replace less sustainable materials are factors that contribute to the protection of the environment and the conservation of natural resources. In addition, the domestic manufacturing of TPVs by FCC stands out as an additional measure for reducing the carbon footprint, strengthening sustainability and boosting economic growth in Brazil. By adopting these solutions, companies are taking an important step towards a more sustainable and conscious future.
